Warranty & After-Sales
At Vintage Watches Leuven, every watch is carefully inspected for authenticity, condition and functionality before being offered for sale. When necessary, our watches are serviced by experienced watchmakers.
We want you to enjoy your watch with confidence and are happy to assist you should any issues arise after your purchase.
Legal Warranty
All watches sold by Vintage Watches Leuven to consumers are covered by the applicable statutory conformity guarantee under Belgian law.
For pre-owned watches, Belgian law allows the statutory warranty period to be reduced from 24 to 12 months, provided this is clearly and expressly agreed upon as part of the sales contract. Where such an agreement has been made, a 12-month warranty period applies from the date of delivery. Otherwise, the standard 24-month statutory period applies.
The legal warranty covers any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery, taking into account the watch's age, condition and characteristics as described at the time of sale.
Vintage & Pre-Owned Watches
Due to their age and individual history, vintage and pre-owned watches may show signs of wear and characteristics that differ from those of modern watches.
Normal wear and tear occurring after delivery, accidental damage, misuse and damage resulting from improper handling are not generally covered by the legal warranty.
Unless expressly confirmed in writing, water resistance is not guaranteed. We recommend avoiding exposure to water, particularly with vintage watches.
These considerations do not affect your statutory rights in relation to any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery.
Warranty Claims
If you experience an issue with your watch, please contact us at anton@vintagewatchesleuven.com with your purchase details and a description of the problem.
We will assess the issue and advise you on the next steps. Please do not send your watch without contacting us first, so we can arrange appropriate shipping instructions.
Where a claim falls within the statutory warranty, we will provide the remedies required by Belgian law at no cost to you. Depending on the circumstances, this may involve repair, replacement, a price reduction or reimbursement.
After-Sales Assistance
We remain available for questions about your watch after your purchase, including advice on servicing and maintenance.
For any questions, please contact us at anton@vintagewatchesleuven.com.
This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
